Kalush Orchestra raised $1.7 million from the sale of its award and a pink hat worn by the band’s lead singer, which will be used to buy military equipment.
Millions of people have viewed a video of the band Kalush Orchestra that was filmed in the rubble of Ukraine. Its members have urged fans to help the Ukrainian army.
“We believe that this is only the first victory before our biggest victory over the Russian aggressor,” Oleh Psiuk, Kalush Orchestra's lead singer, said on Telegram.
The Ukrainian Championships took place in Kharkiv on 8-17 December 2021. The tournaments were nicely organized in the library of the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
