The uaw just last night threatened to expand the strike on friday if they dont make serious progress with ford, general motors, insta lantus. And the strike started on friday. They are asking for a wage increase of 36 percent. They have only offered about 20 . The uaw wants traditional pensions, healthcare, and a whole host of other things and the automakers are not willing to budge on those asks so at this point it feels like we could be headed toward an expansion of this strike later this week.
