Reporter the state auditor and now the dci want to know why 35,000 did not go where it was supposed to go. As a jail administrator wilkinson was responsible for daily operations and that included finding and financing and accounting. According to a report done by the state auditor Daron Wilkinson was supposed to collect fees from inmates staying at the jail. A concerned raise of the interim jail administrator showed thousands of dollars missing. Along with the room and board fears auditors found discrepancies in multiple different areas. Our report identifies 26,000 of on deposited collections as well as 7000 of unbilled fees and over 915 of other payouts. They cannot track where the money went because most of it goes beyond the jail walls.
