Volkswagen will sell its last Golf hatchback in Norway in December this year and the importer is encouraging customers to consider the new ID range of electric cars from the automaker.
299PS VW ID.4 GTX Revealed, Can Go From 0-100kmph In 6.2 Seconds
The ID.4 GTX is the first performance-oriented all-electric VW SUV with an all-wheel drivetrain
Volkswagen has unveiled the ID.4 GTX. However, unlike the Polo GT TSI, updates on the ID.4 GTX aren’t just limited cosmetically.
Until now, the all-electric SUV had only a 204PS electric motor that drove the rear wheels. All that has changed with the GTX, which is the first performance-oriented electric from the German carmaker.
The GTX has an electric motor on its front and rear axles, effectively making it an all-wheel drive. It churns out 299PS, a whopping 95PS more than the standard ID.4. Performance has improved, too, as the GTX can go from 0-100kmph in 6.3 seconds, a full 2.2 seconds quicker than the RWD model. Its top speed is electronically limited to 180kmph.
