Belarus launches new tourist route in Grodno Oblast
GRODNO, 2 June (BelTA) – Grodno Oblast presented its new tourist route, At the Crossroads of the Country: a Journey to Volkovysk and Volkovysk District, BelTA learned from the Sport and Tourism Department of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee.
The new tourist route has been registered in the National Tourism Agency. It has been recently presented to the representatives of the tourist industry. From now on the objects of the route can be included into the travel program of the region.
“Volkovysk District undeservedly lack tourist attention. There is a large array of visitor attractions. Among them there are beautiful churches in Ross, Volpa, Shilovichi, Gnezno, old estates in Kraski and Podorosk. Volkovysk also boasts iconic places. For example, the city is famous for its Shvedskaya Gora, which, by the way, will offer interactive performances, and also the estate-museum of Pyotr Bagration,” the Sport and Tourism Departm
