Boxes of hand sanitizer, face masks and other protective equipment will finally be making their way north to remote Indigenous communities in need thanks to the efforts of some local students and the generosity of the local business community.
Daniel Bersyniow and his Grade 12 friends from Sir Robert Borden High School had already acquired more than 10,000 masks through their Star of Life project, which started collecting masks in January, along with boxes of hand sanitizer and other safety equipment destined for a good cause.
