Online sites where donald trump supporters are known to frequent de, are putting out addresses that they claim are the jurors addresses and demanding retribution. ankush, is there any recourse for the jurors? do they get any protection? what happens when this happens this is a very unfortunate situation because unfortunately i think merely sort of discussing who, what their identities might be. i don t think that runs afoul of any laws. i mean, what happened here, frank? glee is that the da s office and the judge, in my estimation, bungled the voir dire process, particularly the early days where they allowed public disclosures of where the perspective and some of the current jurors currently worked and used to work and so that information is public. and if people are using public information to identify these people, i don t know that there s gonna be a record if they cross the line into doing things like swatting these these shores or potentially actionable death threats, then they
New yorkers reported for jury duty. these new yorkers discovered the defendant in the criminal case sitting before them was the former president donald trump. when the perspective jurors were initially asked if they could be impartial during the trial of donald trump many came forward and said they could not point-blank. those people were dismissed and got to go home. the ones that said they could remain fair and impartial they were then questioned further during what is called the voir dire process. at that point it came out more about these new yorkers. what they do for fun. one laughed saying his hobby was trying to find a wife. it s not working, ends end quote. another says he cleans his
I don t see any validity to it. in fact, i think that the american public saw a really great process over the past week. and a cross-section of americans are going to serve in that jury, including their news sources, varied, new sources varied walks of life. and if anything, i think it really undermines the idea that he s going to get a better venue somewhere else. this is really just, americans have proven to the judge and as well too, what else we can see from their interrogatories that they will try to be impartial and that they will be impartial so i think he s actually gotten a pretty fair shake in terms of the jury that s come out of this process. and now we re off to see what will happen with the actual trials. nothing that i think is going to stop it or move it to another location. buckle up. i know where we will all be at 9:30 on monday morning. and you ll probably i ll be back here throughout the day. and when? monday night. thank you all. i ve run next the breaking news.
