Neon Esports came back roaring from a series opening loss to trample on T1, 2-1, in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC)-Southeast Asia Upper Division tiebreaker for the Singapore Major group stage spot on Saturday night, Feb. 27.
With its back against the wall after the Game 1 defeat, Neon went to the deadly duo of 10K MMR midlaner Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer’s Void Spirit and 11K MMR carry John Anthony “Natsumi-” Vargas’ Io to score a 40-13 victory in 47 minutes in Game 2.
Yopaj slashed his way to 20 kills and 14 assists against four deaths while Natsumi finished with 10 kills and 18 assists with only a single death.

Up-and-coming carry Justine “Tino” Grimaldo came through with a monstrous effort on his Io in Game 2 as Smart Omega swept Cignal Ultra, 2-0, to secure its promotion to the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC)-Southeast Asia upper division on Monday night.
Tino made the Kobold Foreman neutral creep his partner-in-crime using the Helm of the Dominator to gain additional movement speed and with an Aghanim’s Scepter in just 12 minutes started to snowball in the closer of the battle between the lower division leaders.
The rising position-1 star racked up 14 kills and 15 assists against a lone death to power Omega’s 36-17 stomp in just 32 minutes.
New Dota 2 patch fixes the MOBA’s Ability Draft mode
Valve’s flagship MOBA game has just got a whole bunch of updates to one of its perhaps more niche but good fun game modes. The January 8 Dota 2 patch brings a raft of fixes and tweaks to Ability Draft, which sets you up with a random hero plucked from a roster of eligible characters and four abilities picked from a randomised pool, following a Dota 2 “community bug hunt”.
In the list of Ability Draft fixes are a bunch that tie into Aghanim’s Shard ability upgrades. For example, boosted abilities like Fire Spirits, Grave Keeper’s Cloak, Epicenter, Fissure, and Ransack should now work correctly with Shard, and additionally Valve notes that the patch has fixed “various inaccurate Sceptre/Shard markers on draft screen as well as missing or wrong Aghanim’s tooltips”. Plus, giving your teammates Sceptres using the Greevil’s Greed ability will no longer cause an issue in removing your Shard granted ability.

Smart Omega pulled off a comeback 2-1 victory over Cignal Ultra to keep its hopes of entering the upper division of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC)-Southeast Asia Regional League alive on Wednesday.
Star midlaner Mc Nicholson “Mac” Villanueva’s Void Spirit carried the fight for Omega in the deciding Game 3 as they pressed on in the lower bracket of the Closed Qualifier Stage 1.
Mac was all over the map to rack up 13 kills and 12 assists against a lone death, fueling the blue and green squad’s 29-9 rout of the boys in red in just 21 minutes.

After TNC’s thrilling come-from-behind win in Game 2, Abed went on a perfect “godlike” streak on his Void Spirit in Game 3 to lift his squad to the best-of-five grand finals of the eight-team regional tourney that stakes a prize pool of $50,000 (P2.4 million), with the champion getting a hefty $21,000 (P1 million) prize.
