Vodeo Games, the first unionised game dev studio in North America, are closing down. The team behind RPG Beast Breaker announced their closure on Twitter.
Beast Breaker developer Vodeo Games is disbanding after being unable to secure funding for its next game. The studio was the first to have an officially recognized union. Its first game, Beast Breaker, is headed to Steam, with no release date set yet.
Microsoft announced Monday that it’s entering a ‘labor neutrality agreement’ with media union Communications Workers of America (CWA). Activision Blizzard, which is expected to be acquired by Microsoft, is in negotiations with its Raven Software QA workers.
