After the meeting between Mr Marius Vizer and His Excellency Sadyr Japarov, the IJF President went to inaugurate the brand new International Judo Federation Regional Academy of Kyrgyzstan, which has been established to be an outstanding platform from which to develop judo in the country. The academy was designed to allow young judoka, as well as national team members, to practise on a daily basis. IJF President meets with Kyrgyzstan President during Asia-Oceania Championships Saturday, 10 April 2021
International Judo Federation (IJF) President Marius Vizer met with the President of Kyrgyzstan during his visit to the country for the Asia-Oceania Judo Championships.
Vizer and President of the Judo Union of Asia and IJF vice-president Obaid Al-Anzi met with President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, on the final day of the Championships in the nation s capital Bishkek.
Both parties spoke about the country s plans to develop judo further following the Championships.
Japarov thanked the IJF for the opportunity to host the competition in Kyrgyzstan for the first time.

AKIPRESS.COM - The Kyrgyz judo team won its first-ever gold medal at the Asian senior judo championship.
The 2021 Asian and Oceania Judo Championships kicked off in Bishkek at the Archa-Beshik Sports Complex.
On April 7, Vladimir Zoloev became the champion of Asia and Oceania 2021 in men s 81 kg weight category.
It was Kyrgyzstan s 18th Asian championships medal (1 gold, 3 silver and 13 bronze medals).

Vladimir Zoloev won a historic gold medal for host nation Kyrgyzstan at the Asia-Oceania Judo Championships in Bishkek.
The Asian Games bronze medallist earned Kyrgyzstan s first-ever continental judo title with victory in the men s under-81 kilograms division.
Zoloev beat Saeid Mollaei, now of Mongolia and a former world champion in the division, in the semi-finals and then overcame South Korea s Lee Moon-jin in the final.
Lee s medal was one of five won by South Korea across four weight categories today.
Mollaei and Sharofiddin Boltaboev of Uzbekistan won the bronze medals.
Ex-world champion An Chang-rim won the men s under-73kg title for South Korea, overcoming Tajikistan s Somon Makhmadbekov in the final, and China s Qing Daga took a bronze medal along with Victor Scvortov of the United Arab Emirates.
