Kalyani (West Bengal), Feb 28 : Despite losing out on the race to the top half of the table of the I-League, Aizawl FC picked up three vital points in the race to stay safe from relegation by beating 10-man Chennai City 3-0 at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium on Sunday.
Goals by Lalmuanzova, Malsawmtluanga and Lalremsanga led the Mizoram-based club to an easy win over their opponents while Chennai’s Vladimir Molerovic missed a penalty in the second half.
With both Mohammedan SC and TRAU winning earlier in the day, Aizawl FC were left reeling as their hunt for the top half of the table concluded. Nevertheless, they had everything to play for as vital points were at stake to save either team from relegation.

Kalyani : , Jan 29 (IANS) A 63rd minute header from Elvedin Skrijelj helped Chennai City beat Indian Arrows 1-0 in the I-League at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium here on Friday.
Chennai made five changes to their starting XI after their 0-2 defeat to Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU) Football Club, bringing in Vladimir Molerovic, Suhail Pasha, Nagappan, Jishnu and Jockson Dhas. The Indian Arrows, coming into this game after their defiant performance in the 1-1 draw against Aizawl, made two changes Harsh Patre and Sajad Hussain Paray, who scored the last gasp equaliser against Aizawl. They were replaced by Vibin Mohanan and Parthib Gogoi respectively.

Kalyani, Jan 9 : Vijay Nagappan scored at the end of a fine one-touch passing routine to hand Chennai City a 2-1 win against Gokulam Kerala FC in their first match of the 2020/21 I-League at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium here on Saturday.
Naggapan played a quick one-two with Demir Avdic to find space inside the box and scored Chennai s second goal of the match in the 50th minute.
Gokulam took an early lead as Dennis Antwi scored in the third minute. A quick corner caught the Chennai City FC defence off-guard as Antwi slotted home from close range to hand the Malabarians the lead.
