Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) has shipped the first batch of suburban buses MAZ 257040 that were manufactured for Russia's Vladivostok, BelTA learned from the press service of the enterprise.
The prime minister visited the Zhodino-based electric bus assembly enterprise of the Belarusian automobile manufacturer MAZ. Roman Golovchenko was informed about the state and prospects of this manufacturing division.
Minsk Automobile Plant has set a new record. In the first quarter of 2023, it produced the largest number of passenger vehicles if compared with the same periods of previous years. In numbers, this is 382 vehicles. The previous record was set in 2008.
“It is necessary to ship at least 30 buses there this year. And we will talk it over within the framework of the visit to Irkutsk. The most important thing is that the consumers, who have previously bought our vehicles, know their quality,” the executive said.
"The factory will ship the first few batches in May. The delivery of the new trolleybuses to Novosibirsk will begin at some point in June. As many as 120 trolleybuses are supposed to arrive by the end of the year,” Vladimir Dormash noted.
