All 27 eu ambassadors have approved the agreement that was announced last week. On wednesday the president of the eu council, charles michel, and president of the eu commission, ursula von der leyen, are expected to sign off on the deal. But it will also have to be ratified by the european parliament, next year. Also on 30th december, uk mps will vote on the deal in a special sitting of parliament. It all means that tariff free trade will provisionally be allowed, after britain leaves the eu Single Market in the new year.
