Woman accused of making daughter sick now faces additional charges: state police

Shelley Marie Noreika, 47, of Newville was charged with felony strangulation, endangering welfare of children, aggravated assault and misdemeanor simple assault, according to state police.
And Shelley Noreika is not the only person facing charges, police said. Her husband, David Albert Noreika, 48, of Newville, also was charged with felony endangering welfare of children, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment.
Pennsylvania State Police said that the couple physically struck a juvenile victim with a plastic whiffle ball bat as a form of discipline. Police said that David Noreika choked the victim and struck the victim on separate occasions with a closed fist, causing injury.
