Ratlam rural MLA Dilip Makwana announced that as per the directives of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, sports ground would be made available at panchayat level in the district.
Kejriwal said, his party AAP came to power in Punjab only six months ago and there was not enough time to curb stubble fire smoke. He however said, that it would be incorrect to blame Punjab alone for stubble fires.
Ludhiana: The residents of Chander Nagar are up in arms against the municipal corporation for its failure to provide them clean drinking water. Recently, they had got water samples from their area tested. The report, received on July 30, showed all samples failed the purity test. Through NGO Mahatar Sathi Jagriti Manch, the residents, on Tuesday, complained to the Punjab State Human Rights Commission and the MC commissioner.
They said, “The MC must provide clean drinking water when it is collecting the service charge. As the area is around Buddha Nullah, the water is getting contaminated.”
The samples were taken from the houses of Keemti Rawal and Mukesh Kumar, a government primary school and a handloom store. These were sent to PAU for testing with the help of district health department. The results showed E coli in excess in two samples.
Mysterious explosion-like sound heard in B luru

Bengaluru, July 2 (IANS) A mysterious loud sound similar to an explosion was heard across many parts of Bengaluru on Friday noon. Several residents of the city took to Twitter to share that they heard a loud ‘thud’ sound.
As per the tweets, the sound was heard in the Sarjapur area, J.P. Nagar, Benson Town, Ulsoor, ISRO Layout, H.S.R. Layout, South Bengaluru and East Bengaluru.
Bengaluru South division DCP Harish Pande said, “We don’t have any clear information yet. But from past experience, I can say that it seems like a sonic boom.”
