Microsoft has made Viva Topics available for employees
Microsoft Viva, an employee experience platform powered by Microsoft 365, has been launched. It integrates a company s resources and support with productivity tools that employees use on a daily basis to create a seamless workflow regardless of where they are working from. Microsoft says that it was working on Viva even before the pandemic. This digital tool essentially allows employees to be connected, provides insights, brings opportunities to learn, and easily search for information.
Viva s components each play a distinct role, which we ll describe here:
Viva Connections
Microsoft sees Viva Connections as the gateway to your entire Viva digital workplace, with links to town halls, company policies, and and more. Microsoft also says that Viva Connections will leverage Yammer to provide a personalized feed of information

Microsoft has tried to make Teams as “sticky” as it can be, bundling more and more around it in a bid to make it a critical part of the workplace. (This fall, Teams’ active daily users climbed to 115 million, Microsoft said.) Encouraging users to start their day with Viva is part of that.
Microsoft Viva: Employee Experience Platform for Teams and Microsoft 365

Microsoft has unveiled “Viva,” a new employee experience platform (EXP) designed to integrate with Teams and Microsoft 365.
EXP is a $300 billion a year industry and is more important than ever during the pandemic. While an unprecedented number of employees are working from home, the response to remote work has been a mixed bag. The majority of employees want it to continue indefinitely, but many still struggle to feel connected with their coworkers or access the same resources available in the office.
Microsoft is looking to address these issues with Viva, while simultaneously disrupting the EXP industry.
Microsoft Viva: Here’s what we know about the new platform
Microsoft is betting on a remote work future with new platform Viva, which aims to be a one-stop-shop for employee experience and engagement.
Microsoft products have been invaluable in many virtual workplaces over the past year. Today (4 February), the tech giant has launched its latest offering, Microsoft Viva, which is an employee experience platform incorporating communications, wellbeing, learning and more. Users will be able to align these with daily workflows through integrations with Microsoft 365 and Teams.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the last year has brought “the largest at-scale remote work experiment the world has seen” and now his company is looking to reimagine how dispersed teams can work.
