Unknown person kills cop’s mother ByGunwanti ParasteGunwanti Paraste / Updated: May 9, 2021, 06:00 IST killing In a shocking incident, the mother of a police officer was killed by an unknown person. The accused hit an iron rod on her head in a tin shed near Ramnagar Bhajimandai in Warje Malwadi on Saturday morning. According to the preliminary investigation, the murder was committed with an intention of theft as Rs 65,000 was found stolen from a cupboard in the tin shed. Woman’s son Vitthal Shelar (32), an assistant police inspector attached with the traffic branch of Satara police, has lodged a complaint in this regard. He has also worked as an assistant inspector in the anti-ransom squad in Pune.
