Volodymyr Zelenskiy touched on several key events, including the downing of the Ukrainian jetliner in Iran, the coronavirus pandemic and the release of Ukrainian soldier Vitaly Markiv from Italy.
He also noted meetings with foreign leaders, including U.S. President-elect Joe Biden and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. There were tears of pain and tears of pride. It was something we were ashamed of and something we were proud of, he told a group of children at the presidential palace.
