LAFAYETTE - Blood centers nationwide say they experince a blood shortage every summer including Acadiana. In an effort to fight the shortage Lafayette s Vitalant Blood Center is hosting thier annual blood drive. Every year we see the same thing around this time, you know a shortage. just an urgent need for blood. said Duhon
The annual race against the clock blood drive is in it s 16th year now. It works to give our city an influx of blood since donations are limited.
