Loretta the Yodeling Cowgirl taking place on Wednesday, May 5th at 7:30pm in the Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center. The play is inspired by a true story of Loretta and her wiry friend, Em, who live in a home for the aged in Mount Jewett, Pennsylvania. Their days are the same and their banter circuitous. But when Loretta learns that her daughters are about to sell the family home, she travels back in time to the days of her Yodeling Cowgirl fame, and the choices she made for happiness.

Women playwrights take centerstage for North Jersey readings

Centenary Stage Company’s Women Playwright Series returns for its 29th season on the campus of Centenary University in Hackettstown with four new plays weekly, starting Wednesday, April 14.
All performances will begin in-person at 7:30 p.m. in the campus’s Sitnik Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center at 715 Grand Ave. and also be live-streamed online. A minimum $5 donation for the live shows is required and must be reserved in advance at centenarystageco.org or by phoning CSC box office at 908-979–0900. Live-stream access is free with donations appreciated.
