The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors pledged $15 million this month to combat flooding in the northern part of the county and parts of San Francisco.
San Mateo County has allocated $15 million for the Vista Grande Watershed Project, aimed at combating persistent flooding in the region triggered by San Francisco’s Lake Merced overflow. The initiative will upgrade drainage systems and pipelines to mitigate property damage caused by flooding during heavy rains.
