MALAYSIA Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Langkawi branch has donated chairs and tables worth RM25,000 to Hospital Sultanah Maliha on the holiday island in Kedah.
MCPF Kedah secretary Wan Su Haron presented 100 sleeping chairs, 10 stainless steel three-seater chairs, 20 plastic chairs and three tables to hospital director Dr Akmal Naziah Datuk Ahmad.
“I hope this meaningful programme will encourage other MCPF chapters as well as corporate bodies to come forward to help hospitals facing shortage of equipment, ” she said.
She added that the donation initiative came from MCPF Langkawi branch chairman Datuk Chen Liau Weng, who is also one of the sponsors.
