other children were injured when bricks fell on them. this is a result of the 8.8 earthquake. so that earthquake that occurred in chile at 3:00 in the morning having a huge effect globally. in hawaii, specificallying we ve been talking about a tsunami that was expected to hit there sometime after 11:00 local time. well, that is some 30 minutes past. we have not seen what we expected at first which is sort of that wall of water. what it is and misconception of the wall of water is a rise in the waters and sea level there. is we ve been reporting in oahu, hawaii, people have been seeing the waters recede in and around the big island there. i m also reading, in fact, a small island in hilo bay has
closest to the epicenter of this earthquake, also a populated area, and so this is the kind of scene that we re going to be experiencing more and more as we get these pictures from chile and see exactly the damage left behind after this terrible earthquake. we ve got a lot of people lined up to talk to and we ll continue to keep our eye on what s going on in hawaii as well. if there is a silver lining, it didn t happen in the capitol like we saw in haiti. the government buildings weren t affected. hawaii s hunkering down in the face of a potentially powerful tsunami. what procedures are now in place to deal with this natural disaster of this magnitude? we re working on that now. joining us from honolulu is hawaii congressman neil abercrombie. thank you. how do you prepare for a situation like this? is hawaii prepared? yes. you actually prepare with a lot of aloha.

darkened in tone with pictures of bodies being pulled out from the rubble, lifeless remains lifted out of crushing debris. that picture we just found. here is a picture that was posted on twit pic of a church in santiago. you can look at the big chunks of concrete that broke apart when the quake struck. what would take hours, took a few seconds from mother nature s wrath. the majority of posts coming from hawaii are posts of links to live web cams. police scanners and local tv stations that are monitoring all the latest, which is what we continue to do and we ll bring you the latest on or fox news web site. i m glad they do that with the sirens. could you imagine back in the day, they didn t have those. thank you. looking at the wires and we re getting more information that s coming over really minute by minute. we told you that the death toll, unfortunately nchile has gone up. the official count is 214. one of the local officials there giving that number says that it is most lik
