Visit Beloit does it’s part to make sure nobody has to go out into the cold unprepared this winter.
Director of Marketing and Public Relations Stacey Bodnar says Visit Beloit is collecting warm winter clothing items as part of the Big Bundle Up.
Bodnar says coats, sweaters, hats, mittens, boots, and other warm items can be dropped off at the Beloit Travel Wisconsin Welcome Center off of the Interstate through January 5th.
Bodnar says all of the items they collect are donated to Community Action of Rock and Walworth County.
The Big Bundle Up is actually a state-wide effort by the Wisconsin Department of Tourism that has collected over 185,000 items of warm winter clothing since it’s inception nine years ago.
