BJP State President Nalin Kumar Kateel argued that those opposing construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya were opposing the Supreme Court’s ruling and the Constitution.
Addressing a meeting of the party’s cells from 16 districts in Hassan on Thursday, Mr. Kateel said the temple was not being constructed either by the Vishwa Hindu Parishat or the RSS. The trust that came into existence as per the Supreme Court’s order was constructing the temple at Ayodhya, he said.

They were killed in a road accident near Ankola last week
Stating that there was some foul play and seeking CID inquiry into a road accident in which two female employees were killed, members of various Hindutva outfits staged a protest at University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS) in Dharwad on Monday.
The members of Vishwa Hindu Parishat and other Hindutva outfits staged the protest in front of the office of the Vice-Chancellor of UAS Dharwad and sought inquiry by CID into the case.

Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here on Thursday, Basavaraj said that in Karnataka, the drive will take place from Jan. 15 to Feb. 5. Pointing out that 11 crore houses of Hindus across the country will be visited during the drive for fund collection, he said that in Karnataka, there were 1.30 crore houses of Hindus and it has been targeted to visit more than 90 lakhs of them.
Noting that fund collection campaign will be carried out in 4 lakh villages of the country, including 27,500 in Karnataka, he said that 28,000 teams, each having five members, have been formed for the purpose.
