Hyderabad Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Branch) Tarun Joshi has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Warangal, relieving IG (CID) P. Promod Kumar from full additional charge. Superintendent of Police, Adilabad, Vishnu S. Warrier, who was also holding full additional charge of Nirmal district, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Khammam. He would be replacing Tafseer Iqbal, who was not given any posting as of now. The government is yet to appoint new officers in place of Mr. Joshi and Mr. Warrier.

Two Autos, Hotel Set On Fire, Internet Remains Suspended

Mar 13, 2021, 08:43 IST Fresh violence was reported from a village in Bhainsa. Two auto-rickshaws and a hotel have been allegedly set on fire at Mahagaon village in Bhainsa of Nirmal district on Friday.  According to police reports, five people were involved in the crime. Police identified them with the help of CCTV footage and eyewitnesses. Cases have been filed against them. One of the five people has been arrested. Police are making efforts to ensure that there is no breach of peace and tranquility in the town.  Since March 7 night, Bhainsa town of Nirmal district has been tense after members of two communities were involved in a clash.

(DC File photo) ADILABAD: The police department is in the process of identifying miscreants, who are often involved in communal clashes and inciting hatred among the people of Bhainsa in the Nirmal district. Towards this, the police will keep a close tab on the movements of such miscreants.
