Ludhiana: Cancel your shopping plans for February 26 as thousands of shopkeepers and traders in the city will remain on strike on a call given by the Confederation of All-India Traders (CAIT) to protest complications in the GST laws.
According to the office-bearers of CAIT, support has been pouring in for them from industry and shopkeepers’ associations of markets like Ghumar Mandi, Sabun Bazaar and Kesar Ganj, among others. The shopkeepers will keep their shops closed and businessmen associated with bicycles, furnaces, sewing machines and other sectors will also support the bandh.
