The city of Palm Springs will be in the national spotlight on Friday morning when the popular morning show Live With Kelly and Ryan features the desert as part of its Virtual Road Trip series. The show, hosted by Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, has been airing a segment called Live s Virtual Road Trip all week spotlighting different sunny destinations across the United States. They are concluding the series Friday morning with a look at Palm Springs.  Locals will recognize desert chef Andrew Copley of Copley s on Palm Canyon restaurant in Palm Springs during a cooking segment. The spot also will feature charitable Palm Springs couple Jim Scheibel and Tim Wood who are doing all they can to fight food insecurity in the valley, including holding regular food drives and donating the food to FIND Food Bank, the LGBT Center, and others.
