It s Grand National day and 40 horses will battle it out in the world s greatest steeplechase at 5.15pm.
Tipperary jockey Rachael Blackmore took the Cheltenham Festival by storm and she could make more history at Aintree today by becoming the first woman to win the famous race.
She partners Minella Times for Waterford trainer Henry de Bromhead, who is one of seven runners for owner JP McManus.
Ryanair boss Michael O Leary is also well represented in the 4m2½f contest, with his Gigginstown House Stud responsible for five entries.
