Farmers and crop advisers will have an opportunity to receive flax production and market updates during North Dakota State University Extension’s Getting it Right virtual meeting from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 17.
“North Dakota is the largest flax-producing state in the U.S. – an estimated 190,000 acres were planted in 2020 – and the crop continues to be a viable option in crop rotations,” said Greg Endres, Extension cropping systems specialist and meeting co-coordinator.
The virtual meeting will cover variety considerations, plant establishment, plant nutrition, weed management, disease management with seed treatments and foliar fungicides, market update and AmeriFlax report.
