th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW65), the UN’s largest gathering on gender equality and women’s rights, opens today as an almost entirely virtual session, with the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in the foreground, and preparing the ground for the forthcoming Generation Equality Forum, which will kick off in Mexico City from 29-31 March.

Over 180 women took part in a morning walk today along the seawall in Nasese to share their experiences, challenges and learn from each-other.
The annual Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk was organised by Graduate Women Fiji to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Graduate Women Fiji President Maria Ronna Luna Pastorizo-Sekiguchi says mentoring is an important tool especially for women who have gone through challenges and they can impart that knowledge to the next generation of women leaders in their various field.
