If you are headed south this year from central Pa. to explore several of Virginia’s more than 300 wineries, one stop on your destination list needs to be King Family Vineyards in Crozet.
The reasons are numerous, from the picturesque outdoor views framed by the Blue Ridge Mountains that include a stable and a grass field for polo to loads of room inside and outside the tasting room to relax and indulge. Then there are the wines, which are among the best in a state that is respected as one of this country’s top producers.
