Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Davis Sr. NEWPORT NEWS Kenneth “Kenny” Davis Sr., 61, was born July 17, 1959, in Baltimore, Md. He transitioned Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Kenny enlisted into the U.S. Army at an early age and left Baltimore for basic training at 17 years old in 1977. From there, he was able to travel the world and build a foundation for his and his family’s life. He fulfilled many roles while in the U.S. Army, but he found his niche as an attack helicopter technician, specializing on the aircraft powerplant for the Apache airframe. He directly contributed to U.S. support during the Nicaraguan conflict, served in the Gulf War, Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
