The Virginia Peninsula Foodbank has reported an 18% decrease in donations while serving a record number of people in need of food since the beginning of the pandemic.
The check was over $8,000 and was given to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. This represented just a third of the donations raised in the recent food drives.
"This is one of the highest numbers that we've seen, probably since the beginning of COVID," said the Chief Executive Officer of the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.
