Dobrev shared a photo of herself with Wesley, her partner Shaun White and Wesley s wife Ines de Ramon all wrapped up in ski gear against a snowy backdrop on Instagram, captioning the post: Sometimes you gotta double down.
She has also shared several photos and videos of the group s ski trip on her Instagram Stories, calling Wesley and his wife her powder pals as they posed in the snow together.
Fans were delighted to see the
Vampire Diaries couple back together again, with one commenting: Paul and Nina being iconic since 2009, and another writing: Omg stelena perfect, while a third simply wrote: TVD forever.
Entertainment Weekly, she confirmed her favourite Elena scene occurred in The Vampire Diaries season 4 episode 15 Stand By Me .
The episode saw Elena burn down the Gilbert house, but there was no room for it in the musical episode. Neither were they able to include a planned Klaus (Joseph Morgan) musical number which would have seen the character
singing to his daughter.
Matthews explained: We had to kill a lot of darlings along the way, we could ve written a 200-page version of this episode. That s the beauty of it and I think it touches on the history of all the shows in the universe. It s got a lot of season 1, where the show was built upon that love triangle, but it does pay reference to doppelgangers and Hope and Klaus.
Showrunner Brett Matthews told

The Vampire Diaries, which is difficult in absentia in some of the actors.

The Vampire Diaries star Joseph Morgan has spoken about the original plan for his character Niklaus (Klaus) Mikaelson, before the spin-off series
Speaking with Tommy DiDario for his weekly Instagram Live Fandom Show, Morgan revealed that his character was only supposed to appear for a mere four episodes, which is hard to believe now that he has become one of the fan favourites from the show.
Matthews added that it was emotional telling the story and revisiting some of the characters. He revealed that they sent pictures to old cast members as they wanted to see their reactions. It really was a beautiful walk down memory lane. This show would literally not exist without the other shows. It was fun to explore that connection on screen, he said.
When asked if stars from
The Vampire Diaries or would return, Matthews insisted that
Legacies has an open-door policy and that they are welcome to come back at any time.
Matthews said: There s always a chance, and if any did, I wouldn t want to spoil those things. If anybody s dying to come back and dip a toe back into this universe, just tell them to call me.
