A Fairfield County man wanted since election day for attempting to gun down another man in broad daylight on a busy street has turned himself into police.
Brandon Turner, age 26, of Stamford, was arrested Tuesday, Feb. 16, and charged with attempted murder in connection with the Tuesday, Nov. 3 in Stamford, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.
The shooting happened when Turner ran into another man and the two began arguing at the corner of Stillwater Avenue and Virgil Street when Turner out pulled a 9-mm handgun and fired at least four shots, Conklin said.
Police stopped Tuner about 45 minutes after the shooting on Nurney Street, but he had changed clothes and didn t have a weapon, so police had to let him go until they were able to secure a warrant, Conklin said.
