violent carjackings, meanwhile, on the rise in places that used to seem safe, including a wild scene in midtown manhattan, two new york p.d. officers struggle to stop an armed thief from stealing an audi and crashing in other vehicles along broadway. none of us i don t believe thought we would see these attacks in broad daylight. now multiple times a day in this great city. and not just here, as you point out, sandra. this is a problem coast to coast, a surge in the number of carjackings. big cities are seeing the most dramatic increase in the incidents. on wednesday as you point out in midtown, manhattan, a brazen carjacker was caught on camera. the thief had threatened the driver with a taser and the carjacker sped off smashing into another car, and two other carjackings in an hour in the
