A man struck by a car during an altercation in Newham has died from his injuries.
On Wednesday, 28 April, police responded to reports of eight males involved in an altercation on Butchers Road, E16, during which, a 50-year-old man was struck by a vehicle.
The injured man was treated at scene before being taken to an east London hospital where his condition was critical.
Despite receiving treatment throughout the week, he died from his injuries on Saturday, 1 May.
Next of kin are aware and continue to be supported by specially-trained officers.
Five males were arrested in connection with the incident and taken to an East London police station. They are currently released on bail pending further enquiries.
Met Police seized all this at a cannabis factory in Charlton, south east London Five people have been charged after police seized an estimated £800,000-£1 million worth of cannabis from a warehouse in Charlton. Officers from the South East Basic Command Unit’s (BCU) Violence Suppression team discovered the cannabis farm in a 32,000 square feet commercial premises in Eastmoor Street on Wednesday morning, December 30. They obtained a warrant to gain entry and search the site after receiving intelligence about a cannabis factory being operated there. A police helicopter was also called in to provide further reconnaissance during the operation. Five men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and have now been charged.
