80s-themed virtual music event announced for this Sunday News 26/01/2021
An 80s-themed virtual event called Radical Sabbatical is happening this 31st January where musicians are taking audiences back to the 1980s.
Kicking off at 7am on Sunday (NZ Time), the event will be a fun-filled day complete with performances and informative segments.
Sebastian Bach will be hosting a Vinyl Wino session during the day as he pairs his favourite wines with matching music. Kenny Loggins, Bret Michaels, Ray Parker Jr. and Lita Ford are lined up for musical performances.
The event will also include Mixology Madness, cooking, and Aerobics. The event will also feature a Q&A session with an 80s photographer, author Mark Weiss. Songwriters Jim Peterik (Survivor) and Cathy Richardson (Jefferson Starship) will be doing a storytelling session.
Sebastian Bach is on the verge of exploding. Nearly a year of pent-up energy, creativity, frustration, and hunger to perform will do that. The legendary front person has certainly had enough of the pandemic that has caused the world to shut down and he’s itching to hit the road again. Yes, he’s been a constant presence on social media, tweeting his disdain for the current White House administration, engaging in friendly debates with fellow heavy metal icons, and battling other rock musicians in all-out verbal assaults, but the stage has and will always be his true home. In addition to working on what he promises to be a heavy new solo album, he has joined the personalized celebrity video “shout outs” craze, which fans can find out about through former Skid Row singer’s verified Instagram account.
