Representative Image MUMBAI: A lookout circular (LOC) has been issued against a British national and his Indian-origin wife for allegedly duping several people of around Rs 15 crore after luring them with the prospects of high returns if they invested in virtual trading of rare vintage coins. The fraud was operated from January to July before the accused couple, Essa Ahmed Khan (55) and Ambika Ullal (25), fled back to the UK in October. A couple from Khar (west) found that the websites that were claimed to be trading in vintage coins were fake and filed a police complaint. The websites were operated by the UK couple, with whom the victim couple had invested Rs 72 lakh on the promise of 100% returns within one year.
