Noida authority CEO Lokesh M took disciplinary action against 3 project engineers for neglecting duty and not handling sanitation issues properly. He also cut the salary of a project engineer for taking leave without permission. Warning notices and adverse entries were issued to other engineers for poor performance. The CEO emphasized the importance of following orders and implementing guidelines. A penalty of ₹43 lakh was imposed in 171 cases related to Grap violations. Residents criticized the authority for ineffective enforcement.
The Noida authority plans to open half of the Bhangel elevated road by February-end, aiming to provide smooth connectivity to commuters. The 5.5km elevated track has faced delays and caused congestion on the Dadri road. The authority has directed the engineers to complete the left side of the road and ensure compliance with safety standards.
The case pertains to wrongful claims for compensation, to the tune of ₹91.81 crore, from village Gheja Tilaptabad located along Noida-Greater Noida Expressway
