Phnom Penh (VNA) – The first rice packages to help Vietnamese-Cambodian families living in
areas under lockdown to curb the spread of
COVID-19, arrived in Preah Sihanouk
city of the province of the same name on April 25.
The Cambodian province
has been put under a lockdown since April 23 in an attempt to contain the
spread of COVID-19 in the community.

Military officers in the northern Vietnamese province of Vinh Phuc have finished moving a 340-kilogram bomb away from a residential area.
The Vinh Phuc Military Command coordinated with local authorities to remove the unexploded bomb in Khai Quang Ward, Vinh Yen City on Sunday morning, an official from the ward’s administration confirmed later the same day.
The bomb was previously found by construction workers as they were digging the foundation to build a house at 67 Ton Duc Thang Street on April 20.

The Vietnamese health ministry has announced the decision to divert 110,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, originally meant for police and army personnel, to local centres for disease control (CDCs) instead.

These are among the 811,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines that Vietnam received via COVAX Facility, the global COVID-19 vaccine sharing scheme, on April 1, adding to the 111,000 doses bought from the company that had been used in the first-phase of the inoculation drive.
