VINEYARD HAVEN A scaled-down version of Beach Road Weekend will be back in July, with live music over three nights but an “extremely limited” capacity of 2,000 people per concert.
Blues band Tedeschi Trucks a smaller iteration of the Grammy Award-winning Tedeschi Trucks Band was the marquee name revealed Tuesday in an announcement that also tied the re-imagined festival to a celebration of the 350th anniversary of the founding of Tisbury.
The group fronted by married performers Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks acclaimed musicians on their own and together will play at 6 p.m. July 24 at Veterans Memorial Park.
Beach Road Weekend is being billed as “the first live music festival in Massachusetts since the pandemic began.” The event is being produced by the Martha’s Vineyard Concert Series, with support from Innovation Arts & Entertainment, to benefit the Friends of the MV Concert Series nonprofit group.

Beach Road Weekend “350” brings three nights of live music to Martha’s Vineyard July 23 - 25. The music festival launched in 2019, but had to be postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic. Now the festival has been reimagined to celebrate the 350th Anniversary of the founding of the Town of Tisbury, with three live shows in July offering an extremely limited capacity, socially distanced box seating configuration. Members of the Grammy Award-winning rock band Tedeschi Trucks Band will perform Saturday, July 24, 2021 6:00 PM at Veterans Memorial Park in Vineyard Haven. The special early show time will allow concertgoers to return to the mainland at the end of the concert. Additional shows are in the works for that weekend. Additional bands and ticketing information will be announced at a later date.

A concert involving Tedeschi Trucks Band has been announced as one of three concerts put on by Beach Road Weekend in July.
Beach Road Weekend is making a comeback, this time to celebrate Tisbury’s 350th anniversary, with three concerts on the weekend of July 23-25 at Veterans Memorial Park in Vineyard Haven.
The first concert features Grammy awardwinning Tedeschi Trucks Band, on July 24 at 6 pm. Tickets will go on sale to the band’s fan club tomorrow, to Beach Road Weekend list on Thursday, and to the general public on Friday.
While there are three concerts during Beach Road Weekend, only Tedeschi Trucks Band was announced on Tuesday. Additional bands and ticketing information will be announced at a later date.
