A former resident of Glammis is one of many Ontarians who died of COVID-19.
Iona Paoletti (in photo) passed away on February 7th at Headwaters Health Centre in Orangeville.
Paoletti died three days shy of her 83rd birthday.
Her son told the Kincardine News that she had serious health conditions including two heart attacks and living with diabetes for most of her life.
Vincent Paoletti says regulations meant that the family were only able to meet with her by phone and through the window of her hospital room.
An obituary on the Dods and McNair Funeral Home website says a tree will be planted in memory of Iona in the Dods & McNair Memorial Forest at the Island Lake Conservation Area in Orangeville.
