To compare the transformation of the Dayton Arcade to a phoenix rising from the ashes hardly begins to capture the magnitude of what’s taking place in the city that is home to the University of Dayton. Unlike in recent years which found this historic block of buildings derelict and often open to the elements now the only birds you’ll find in the space are turkeys. The Arcade was a widely-celebrated achievement after its completion in the first decade of the 20th century; the structure is highlighted by a 90-foot diameter glass rotunda that many consider the most spectacular piece of architectural history in the Dayton region.
The managers of the Dayton Arcade are saying about a third of the available retail space in the iconic building has now been rented. The building is still on track to open in early 2021.
937 Payroll is just the latest business to lease space in the in the historic Dayton Arcade.
