The Allahabad High Court has dismissed a criminal appeal filed against the order of the Special CBI Court at Lucknow acquitting all 32 persons, including prominent BJP leaders L.K. Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, Kalyan Singh, etc .
The plea challenged the 2020 judgment by the Special CBI court which held that there was nothing on record to establish the existence of a conspiracy to demolish the Babri Masjid.
The agency contended that the appellants were not the victims in the case and hence did not have the right to file the present appeal against the acquittal of the accused.
