Eminent speakers will share their thoughts on diverse topics as varied as arts, technology, food, music, and culture, yet bound by the common theme of building a better society, under the aegis of TEDNITTrichy, at the National Institute of Technology - Tiruchi (NIT-T) on April 18.
The TED talks for the 2021 edition will be delivered online. The talks will also be supplemented with fun activities to encourage social interaction. Noted sports performance and technical analyst, Prasanna Agoram, will share his thoughts on how data in today’s age helps dictate the sporting routines of popular teams and cricket personalities.
“Unposted Letters”: Indian Artist Draws Adorable Illustrations About Love And Life
“Unposted Letters” is a collection of illustrated stories by Indian visual artist Vimal Chandran that portrays various soulful moments of life captured in a frame with a pinch of surrealism in it.
The main characters from the illustrations are a boy, a girl, and a red umbrella wherein the red umbrella is often shown as a metaphor for Love. Each illustration is a letter from the boy to the girl accompanied by a caption/prose. Vimal started making Unposted Letters illustrations in 2010 and they are mostly inspired by pop culture. The illustration style is very minimalistic but vibrant and conceptually driven.

KOCHI: Couple of months ago, in a small village near Pattambi, Palakkad, a curious teenager was wandering at dawn, collecting baby coconuts to make a little toy car. As he looked up, he saw something hiding in the lush green shrubs eyes shining, its fluorescent green camouflaged against his village’s inky greenery. When he saw the sports car smiling back at him, the boy almost believed he was dreaming. Kerala-bred, Bengaluru-based artist Vimal Chandran’s entire village woke up to this visitor from the future that day – a Lamborghini Huracan Evo Verde Mantis, one of the most acclaimed 5204 cc sports cars from the Italian manufacturer.
