MANILA - Minimum wage earners and domestic workers in Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) are set to receive additional compensation after the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) approved increasing the minimum wage in the region, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reported on Monday. DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III said in a statement that the RTWPB Northern Mindanao issued Wage Order No. RX-10 granting a pay hike of PHP25 upon its effectivity or 15 days after publication in a newspaper of general circulation. He added that another PHP15 to PHP22 will take effect on December 16. The new wage adjustments will benefit 152,924 workers in private establishments and 54,851 domestic workers.
