Waterloo region s COVID-19 trends move in right direction: Dr. Hsiu-Li Wang
Waterloo region saw 54 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. There were 52 people in the region s hospitals with 37 of those people in the ICU.

Region of Waterloo Public Health confirmed 164 new coronavirus cases on Monday afternoon, plus four more COVID-related deaths.
It means there have been 7,503 cases here since March.
Two of the four deaths have been linked to outbreaks - one at Highland Place retirement home, the other at The Village of Winston Park retirement home - which puts the local death toll at 179.
It comes a day after the region hit a daily high for cases at 203 were reported on Sunday.
