People living in the building told News 9 they were told to evacuate when the fire started, and that they wouldn’t be able to return to their units for the night.
A man and woman were brought to Elliot Hospital with unspecified injuries. The State Fire Marshal confirmed to News Nine that the man died from his injuries.
Alarms went off at about 10:48 p.m. Thursday at 245 Village Circle Way, and responding firefighters said they learned that people were trapped inside the 28-unit building.
